keenya2006, it’s hard to get into NU. Period. You got into Weinberg, and that is an amazing accomplishment. Don’t let someone shooting his or her mouth off on CC take the joy out of that for you. There is no “worst” college at NU and, from what I’ve seen, students there have all kinds of respect for each other no matter what they are studying. My daughter is at NU, and has found people there to be remarkably supportive, cooperative, and inclusive.

There are some programs at NU where enrollment is limited, as Sam Lee pointed out. People get into those programs and stay put, because that’s where they want to be. Engineering (although I know the least about that) and journalism are two such programs. Theater is another for similar reasons, and because it truly is a four year curriculum.

You can compare stat averages between schools and programs, but it won’t tell you much about why those people are in those particular programs. It sounds to me like you’ve landed in the perfect place for you, where you can explore and thrive.
