I got this e-mail…

"Hello -------,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Tufts! Id like to be among the first to welcome you to the Tufts class of 2012. I had the opportunity to read your application and to get to know you through your own voice and the voices of your teachers and guidance counselor. Our applicant pool was full of academically qualified and personally compelling students, but your application stood out among the over 15,000 applications we received.

Throughout the month of April we encourage all of our admitted students to get to know Tufts further as you make decisions regarding where you will enroll. At Tufts, we have multiple options for you to connect with the university, be it through online chats, admitted student information sessions on campus, or attending our April Open House (April 18, 24 & 25). For specific information on all of these programs, please visit the Admitted Student Website at http://admissions.tufts.edu/2012.

If you plan to visit campus and would like to say hello, please just drop me an e-mail. If I am available, Id love to greet you in person. Again, Congratulations!

What does that mean for anything? I’m not trying to brag or anything…but I was actually confused, because if you look at my stats from previous posts, they’re not that good compared to others who applied to Tufts (rundown: 2140 SATs, 800, 800, 720 on 3 SATs, 4.48 W out of 5, mainly sports for ECs, and essays weren’t really that great in my opinion at least). So…whaat?
