Okay, people, get out there and SHOP!!!!

I want my Bed, Bath, and Beyond stock to go up; it has been lately (and hurrah for that!), but I think it can do better (it’s down today, booooo!), so get out there and buy sheets! Towels! Pillows and pillow cases! Scales and shower curtain! Bathroom trash cans and comforters!!

Go! Shop! Make the stock go up! And while you’re shopping, stop into The Cheesecake Factory and have lunch! Or dinner! Or dessert! Or all three!! Take some friends with you!! Treat your family!!

And then go back to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and shop some more!!! Closet organizers and hangers! Kitchen gadgets and utensils! Mirrors! Candy! And memory foam toppers!!

Thank you!!

You mentioned 15 different BB&B items…but I only have three coupons.

We can’t shop. On CC we have to tell everyone how frugal we are and how we hate to shop and eat out.

missypie, I’ll share. I must have 30 coupons. I’ve stopped saving them. The problem is, I’m not buying anything, but the coupons keep on coming.

I am the original “I hate to shop” Not only am I frugal – I would rather do anything (OK anything legal ) than shop. But shop I must becasue I want D focused 100% on school from the minute she sees my taillights as I drive off. So yes, I have been at BBB and will be back there. And teh Container Store. And Overstock.com And Walmart. And Best Buy. I have two weekends left. If you cant tell I am stressed out – YES I AM

hey that stock looks great--------SELL

The BBB near me is always empty, they just don’t seem to be competitive with other retailers in my neck of So Cal.

And MOWC—why the hostility towards those of us who have stumbled on hard times? I
LOVE to eat out when I can afford to (just not at the Cheesecake Factory–bleh). . My DH unemployment insurance ran out 12 months ago.

OP said: “Okay, people, get out there and SHOP!!!”

Why, there’s another war?

Kei

Thanks, MOWC. You made me, literally, LOL. :)

I hate the PROCESS of shopping. WHY do stores think I want to listen to THEIR choice of music??? I never go into ANY store without my music playing (and it’s playing from a $20 mp3 player :-)

Hey, owlice, I own some medical diagnostics, biotech and pharma stocks. What should I tell people so I can get rich? ;)

There is an anti-shopping gene in my family and I have it along with my mom & sister (kayf & sue, we might be related) .Still, I have to shop now for college. Someone reminded me that next weekend we have a tax holiday here (Virginia) for school supplies and clothing, so I’ll just have to do it.

MOWC - lol

I have no money with which to shop now, but when I did, I shopped with the best of them. If anyone has extra bucks right now and doesn’t like to shop, I will happily shop for them. You will feel better for helping the economy and I will feel better because I’m shopping!

Lately I have been feeling like I am personally supporting the economy. I had to buy a plane ticket to bring home daughter from internship, three more plane tickets for niece’s out of state wedding, hotel rooms for same wedding and other daughter just bought a house. And we haven’t even started on back to school essentials. AAAgh! Oh, and the dog had to go to the vet and the tuition bill came… What a month!

I did my duty today…$200 in fruits, vegetables and baked goods purchased at the local organic farm. My fridge is stuffed and my weekend guests will be happy with a blueberry pie for dessert.

Carry on.

Bunsenburner – Run around asking people 'Is Cialis right for you?" That ought to do it.

I went in Starbucks today at 2:30 pm. The place was packed. The rest of the mall looked like a ghost town.
I step inside Bed Bath and Beyond about once a year. Thus I do not save those coupons that come in the mail or paper. I now realize the error of my ways. My son is going to be moving into an on campus apartment and he is going to need to need to do some shopping. I only have 1 coupon! Hope one comes in Sundays paper. Or do they come in the mail?

They come in flyers or individually in postcard form. I just checked and if you go to their website and sign up for email notices you can immediately get another 20% off coupon :). My daughter is setting up an apartment in NYC. I just gave her 20 of them. I must get one every couple of weeks.

BBB can save a lot on printing and mailing costs if they just send ONE coupon for 20% off the entire purchase - don’t they know we are stockpiling them?!

Here you go. When they send you endless emails you can thank me.

At the cocktail reception for incoming b-school parents last year, one of the deans said she wished she had stock in BBB–she had never seen so many bags on move-in day. We need to do the kitchen stuff run next week.
And Novelista, great reply!
