Okay, who is 45percenter?

I don’t know about many of you out there in etherland but anytime I see a post that was written or responded by 45percenter I find myself opening and reading it. 45percenter has spot on information and this person also add great links to find out additional information. The responses posted by he/she have been extremely valuable to so many posters.

So I have to ask who is 45percenter? A Penn graduate? A Penn employee? No name needed but it would be nice to have an idea.

Just an old alum. :p

But now honored to have a thread devoted just to me. :)

I think this should turn into a 45Percenter appreciation thread :D. Ever since I found out about Penn like 4.5 years ago, this guy’s posts have been so tremendously helpful. You’re awesome, dude!

Please CC, open up all of 45 Percenter’s posts! 200 is too little!
Mille Grazie 45%er!!

This thread title made me laugh that someone asked it out (cyber)loud.

Most likely an employee of Penn admissions.

^Haha it would be hilarious if he turned out to be Dean Furda.

^ Nope, not Dean Furda, and not an employee of Penn at all! Although iamanapp refuses to believe it. ;)

Just a loyal alum who likes to correct misconceptions, set the record straight, and provide useful information about Penn whenever possible. :)

“But now honored to have a thread devoted just to me.”

How much did you pay OP to start this thread? :D

I am more curious about what the 45% refers to. Has that every been explained?
I am assuming the honoree of this thread attended Penn when its admissions rate was 45%.

Don’t worry–you’ll get your cut. :p

Exactly. Shortly before I registered on CC back in 2007, one of the regular Penn student posters commented that Penn alums who had been admitted when the acceptance rate was 45% (i.e., back in the Dark Ages), owe a debt of gratitude to current Penn students and applicants who have to surmount a much more competitive acceptance rate, enhancing the prestige of the school.

So, I proudly claimed the title of 45 Percenter (and presaged the whole 1 Percenter/99 Percenter meme). :p

Appreciate all the information(accurate) you’ve given to students and parents as myself!

Interesting, 45%.
But I would blame it on population … A rising tide sorta lifts all boats. Trump helps though, too. :D

So, that mystery has been somewhat solved.
The next one is: why EXACTLY did Lee Stetson have to leave?
Or… is 45% actually Stetson? Rumor has it that they have never been seen in the same room together ;)

I also have never been seen in the same room as George Clooney.

^Haha I’m sure this is really entertaining you.

^ Just sharing some fun with some of my College Confidential friends. ;)

Hi 45, I too would like to thank you for all your help. I was wondering if you could recommend a nice restaurant for dinner near the Penn Campus. Thank you!

^ Too many to name! But these sites might help:

[Restaurants | University City District](http://universitycity.org/restaurants)

[University City Restaurants | Urbanspoon](http://www.urbanspoon.com/n/21/2045/Philadelphia/University-City-restaurants)

[Restaurants University City, Philadelphia, PA](http://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=restaurants&find_loc=University+City%2C+Philadelphia%2C+PA)

As the above three sites indicate, there are a large number and a wide variety of restaurants within a few blocks of Penn. But if you want something virtually on campus and fairly nice, I’d recommend several of the places on Sansom Street between 34th and 38th Streets, such as Pod and White Dog Cafe. But again, there are lots of other options, and everyone has his/her favorites. :)
