In 11th grade I took the SAT and recieved 1370 which is horrible.

When I took it I had never prepared or taken any classes.

I never studied not even when I was waiting to take it.

I found out that the time I took it was the last possible time (Next time for SAT 2)

Before 11th grade I did not care about school if my life depended on it, so I obviously did not learn much from anything before 11th grade

11th grade was when I got my head straight and went for the 4.0.

now when I took the SAT I felt insecure and felt that I did not belong there and that the test was mean’t for geniuses.

My question which I am VERY curious about is did all the years of doing good in school help? (Meaning if you worked hard and got good grades does that mean you’d do good or you’d have to be a genius to understand the test?)

Also did the class and preparing really help?

What I am basically trying to find out is after I finish high school this year and start community college and work my hardest and study and join clubs will I soon have the ability to do good on a test such as the SAT (scoring 1900+)

I hope you understand me…Okay let’s say I do perfect in college get 4.0 and join all these clubs and work, and Berkeley loves me but says I need a test like the SAT, will those 2 years of hard work prepare me or do I actually need to be smart.

(As I see it theres two kinds of people, one whos naturally smart and doesnt need to take notes as much, and the other who isn’t as smart and needs a lot of studying to know things, like me)

Also my Essays are horrible I am reading books hoping that in two years I will be good enough for a university

By the way I got into all the CSU’s I applied to and UC Riverside, but I don’t like those.

Thanks a lot.
