Old CC, Bad Grade, Possibly Not Reporting. Odds? Tips?

<p>There may have been people waitlisted for the class, so if the professor couldn’t come to the logical conclusion “Hey, this kid isn’t coming to class. How about I free up a spot for someone else?”, then there is something definitely wrong there. Just my two cents.</p>

<p>but at the same time yes, i am at fault. I’m not ultimately blaming anyone. all i was asking for was advice on what i could do.</p>

<p>i had read a while back about something called FERPA, i thought someone could fill me in on that. something about putting a block on transcripts in the national clearinghouse or something, but i guess not.</p>

<p>no worries, all prevailed for me.</p>

<p>Econ is a highly demanded class. Professor is stupid, hands down. He was obviously only there for his lousy paycheck, haha.

<p>Each and everyone of my CC professors have “It is the student’s responsibility to drop. Professors will not drop on your behalf.” on their syllabus.</p>

<p>****, I didn’t drop my calc 1 class cause I thought I’d get under C (and be able to use academic renewal) due to not going to last exam and final.</p>

<p>I got a C. I dropped/W’d my following 3 calc 2 classes.</p>

<p>Finally aced calc 2, calc 3, and lin alg this last 2 semesters when I got serious.</p>

<p>No excuses.</p>

<p>well they are mailing me the form, because i live about 30 miles away, I’m going to fill it out, and I’m going to mail it back, should take about a month or so, all I’m asking is for them to change it to a W at the least.</p>

<p>the policy says, the “petition committee” will meet on the first wednesday of every month and 10 day from that is when i will receive my update, so I’m guessing mid september. </p>

<p>but I’m pretty sure it’ll get removed, i never stepped foot into the class, and i know their is criteria and guidelines from a rubric they follow to change it to a W.</p>

<p>Oh, man. Yeah, if you never step foot into that class, you should have gotten a W - at least from my experience of never showing up to class. Hahaha!</p>

<p>I thought I read here on the board where some people had a bunch of W’s, like a ridiculous amount, and still got into UCLA and other UC’s… I believe that honesty is the best policy so you should report it. :/</p>

<p>Just reporting that today I officially found out that my F was REMOVED.</p>

<p>I am all set for UC now, nothing to hold me back anymore. A strong burden has been lifted today. I am so relieved.</p>

<p>I took a LARGE gamble because, I had reported the school on the UC app but removed it on the academic update, holding faith that it would be removed. So it all worked out.</p>

<p>I now have no coursework from that school whatsoever.</p>
