I am looking for some sort of app so I can go through old photos as as I am looking through the boxes, I can snap an iPhone photo and upload them so others in the family can see them. Is there anything like that?
There is an app called PhotoScan
I have been using it for a year with an Iphone. It guides you through a quick process for scanning each photo: center the photo within the app frame, snap a photo of the photo, and then move your camera to the four corners of the photo (the app guides you in this) where the app snaps photos using your phone’s flash. This eliminates the glare, reflections and flashmarks that can happen when you just take a photo of a photo.
I store photos in albums on Google Photos and Shutterfly.
I’ve been working through all the old family photos for a few years now. The first scan app and cloud based storage i was using shut down a year ago, with a one month notice to move your photos before they are lost forever! Yikes!
I’ve been using my iphone to take pictures of pictures. I put them in natural daylight to avoid glare and lighting issues.
Snapseed app is great for color correction.
