Old Jenn-Air Cooktop - advice appreciated

We’re renting a house with an old Jenn-Air electric oven/cooktop. We’re used to gas so are not sure what the different dials/burners do. Two of the dials are just straight low to high, but the other two have two ranges from lo-hi. There’s a single circle symbol for the odd numbered range, and a double circle symbol for the even numbered range. No manual in sight and we’re having trouble getting hold of the owner; also can’t find the model number but suspect quite old.

So all you expert cooks out there - what do these strange hieroglyphics mean? How the heck do we properly boil water and scramble eggs on these burners? Thanks!

Here ya go. Some Jennair ranges had two element burners, allowing you to heat the entire burner (for a big pot) or just the smaller inner burner:

Push in and turn to the left to operate both elements (the dual circle indicator). Push in and turn to the right to operate just the inner element (the single circle marking).

Thank you so much!
