Old spice 2014 commercial

Has anyone seen the new Old Spice commercial called Mom Song? I am sorry that I can’t do a link to YouTube but it comes up easily if you search that site.

Will this work? What a riot. I’m glad I don’t have any boys to follow around!

[New Old Spice TV Ad 2014 - Mom Song 60 - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

Hilarious!

Just saw it during the Packers-49ers game. Both my son and I were amused yet bewildered. As someone who works in advertising, I always try to imagine the pitch of the concept to the client. What a bizarre spot!

Funny.

Though the janitor/mom creeped me out :p

Thanks for putting up the link. I just watched it again and read some of the comments on YouTube. Quite a few people thought it was freaky. Several people mentioned Japanese advertising. The ad was effective enough that my H, watching tv alone while I was at a family birthday party, told me that I had to see it. With his ADHD, it really had to make an impression for him to remember.

Hahaha Thank you for posting! Love the mom moving through sand.

also saw it during the Packers game and thought it was creepy.

My question - who is the targeted buyer: mom or the teenage son? I found putting a cheap dollar store renuzit gel air freshener makes my son’s room smell much better. Don’t need to have him spray stuff all over.

Creepy funny…which is what I thought they were going for.

Old Spice Cologne is targeting young men with helicopter moms or moms who don’t want to let go.

…Use Old Spice and you will be seen as a man…

Sounds like the millenials’ version of Axe.

It is targeted to moms. We ask our sons if they need anything while we are out running errands. They say yeah, shower gel and deodorant. We see Old Spice on the shelf and think our sons will approve of what we select because of the creepy cool commercial. Effective marketing. I remember my dad’s Old Spice aftershave in the milky white bottle with the little stopper on top. The brand has sure reinvented itself.

Creepy.

I liked, “I’m on a horse,” much better.

mine already uses Old Spice deodorant. (can never remember scent - always have to ask or take him w me to Target when he needs more). He’s moved on from Axe.

“Now he smells like a man, and they treat him like one.” Great slogan. Why would anyone question the brilliance of this?

Brilliant ad! I saw it during the Niners-Packers game yesterday (Yeah Niners!) and cracked up. Strangely, my teen daughters who were watching with me didn’t seem to get it or like it. I loved it! The fact that we’re even talking about it here is all you need to know.

Sure, we’re talking about it, but it doesn’t make me want to run out and buy it for my precious baby boy, who doesn’t watch TV. I thought it was strange, but does it sell product?

I thought it was hilarious!

I’m a mom of three grown sons. I think it’s hilarious!!!
