This FAFSA thing is really messing up all timelines. We keep being told by program coordinators mid-March for competitive scholarships. Who did your daughter reach out to?
She emailed financial aid office and I just read email again and it says mid to late April. Says FAFSA put them behind and that has affected scholarship awards as well.
My son was telling me last night that he got an email with that same mid-April timeline for scholarships and aid packages. This is crazy, especially since he was admitted into a summer program and they want us to commit and sign up for orientation now. As OOS student that is still too much of an unknown variable to commit without knowing the true cost of attendance.
Agree. And why are they waiting on FAFSA info. Shouldn’t awards be based on merit and not financials!!?? I understand that they may be waiting on FAFSA for other types of financial aid. But competitive scholarships were said to be sending out in February. They should still send competitive scholarships and then FAFSA when they comes in like other schools have done.
