<p>I am trying to decide on either Ole Miss or Miami of Ohio and I can’t seem to choose. Give me your opinions…</p>
<p>Is there a huge difference in the cost of attendance?</p>
<p>I went to Miami and I hated it because I couldn’t adjust to the small town aspect.
It’s a beautiful school, though. There’s ALWAYS a party and a bar uptown that’s always attracting people. They also have a lot of ways for students to get involved on campus. Huge amount of Greek life.
But, like I said, it is in a small town. Oxford, Ohio probably has more cows than people. There’s also a very homogeneous student body. To say it is a WASP-y school is an understatement, but there is also a good rural population. I was told on more than one occasion that people didn’t see blacks in real life until they got to the school. Don’t go there expecting a diverse atmosphere. I found it to be really uncomfortable and isolating, actually.</p>
<p>Well, that’s pretty much a given. I didn’t go to Ole Miss, so I can’t comment on much regarding the atmosphere outside of what other people have said about it. It’s definitely a weird moment to say Miami’s the liberal one of the two. Mississippi is…Mississippi.</p>
