<p>Apparently he shot her four times threw a bathroom door. My guess is they got into an argument that escalated, she fled into the bathroom, he got is gun and shot through the door, then he tried to revive her once he realized what he did. He was charged for premeditated murder but I think it was a crime of passion.</p>
<p>Or maybe he genuinely thought she was an intruder. He lives in South Africa, after all.</p>

<p>Forensics needed to determine blood match. Guesses to how the blood got there include–she used it to protect herself, he used it to bash her head so she ran to the bathroom and locked herself in there, he used it to try to break his way into the bathroom.</p>

<p>The New York post article suggested that the police may have been called out to the house earlier that evening because the couple had been arguing. If true, the intruder argument seems to diminish in validity.</p>
<p>Right. I so wanted to believe the intruder argument. Sad for all involved…and for those of us who aren’t involved.</p>
<p>I thought that much has changed for the better in South Africa over the last two decades.</p>
<p>ThereseR, some things have improved, some haven’t. It’s still pretty dangerous there. Some malls that my parents visited in the early 90s are so dangerous that nobody goes there anymore. Houses still have high walls with security systems. But if you know where to go that’s safe, you’ll be OK. I went for a 10-mile run along the spectacular waterfront in Cape Town and had no problems at all - lots of people walk, run, and bike there. It’s an incredibly beautiful country. I’ve been twice and would go back in a heartbeat. My parents travel all over the world and SA is still their favorite place - I think they’ve made 7 or 8 visits.</p>
<p>I just read the news about steroids being found. Hunt was right. This really is horrible news for everyone except Lance Armstrong.</p>
