OMG!! Hoarders!!

So, my father passed away last year and left us kids all the “collectibles”. There are stamps, coins, war memorobelia, figurines and books. There’s a ton of crap. How do we know if anything has value? Who do you take it to? There’s sooo much stuff. It’ll take me a year to go through it all. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Does it seem like nice stuff? Or does it seem like junk?

For stamps and coin collections, see if you can find a store in the area (they always seem to easily find these on those storage unit auction shows) who can look it over and tell you what it is worth.

For figurines and what-not, if you can identify a brand (such as Lladro or Hummel) you can search on eBay to get a rough idea of value.

If any of it is in the fine-art or fine-collectible category (war memorabilia could be in this category if it is good stuff) see if there is a local auction house which will appraise it for you.
