OMG, how'd I get into Georgia Institute of Technology?

Ok. Here it is. Took the SAT 5 times. ended up with a total score of 2120.

Weighted GPA: 3.74

Went to THREE different high schools in THREE different countries.

First in US, second in Hong Kong, Third (currently now) Spain.

Had 4.0 GPA in US, then did very bad in hong kong and now grades rising on Spain.

Know 3 languages: English, Spanish (but not super duper fluent), and Chinese

Guys. don’t think i’m so distinguished. In 10th grade and 11th grade, i didn’t care about anything for personal reasons.

I have absolutely no idea how I got in. I’m no special. I’m no leader of any clubs or w/e. In fact, on my application, I actually only inputted extra curricular stuff mainly from 9th grade and a little (like 1%) from 12th grade cuz like i said earlier, i did like close to NOTHING in 10th and 11th grade.

Someone tell me how in the world I got into this school?

obviously GT saw something in you, maybe it is the fact that you turned yourself around after “screwing up”, and you have the ability to do that. Maybe something else. Congratulations.

Thank you so much. I’m still baffled by the idea how something like this could happen. I mean I can’t say I’m lucky, but it sure does seem like it.

I think it’s because you have gone to school internationally. I have a friend who went to school in Shanghai for a year and she had average grades (good, but not great) and she got into MIT, Wash U. in St Louis, and Rhode Island School of Design (she likes art). She currently goes to MIT.

But congrats!!! Don’t put yourself down!! You have a lot to be proud of.

You lucky ■■■■■■■! Jk, jk! Congratulations, make the most of it.
Also, check out the Journey Church of Atlanta (on-campus).

2120 gets you to GT no questions

2120 was slightly below average for students admitted this year. It’s a good enough score to get you in, but certainly won’t get you in on its own.

Well, 2120 isn’t too bad compared to my SAT score. I got a superscore of 2100 and I still got into Georgia Tech, and I wasn’t the leader of anything either. Maybe what got me in was my essays and/or my 4.4 weighted GPA.

Congrats on your acceptance!
