CSULA is my #1 choice, and I’m not sure if I should live on or off campus. I’m used to high rents (I live in NJ), but I’d prefer the cheapest option. I’ll have a car by the time I attend, so transportation/distance won’t be an issue. I’d be fine in a studio apartment, which I see go around 650. After bills, I’m not sure this would be cheaper than living on campus (12,627).
It would also help if anyone could tell me the safest areas on this chart (that aren’t too expensive):
