On-site Interview

Hey guys, I’m asking this in the parent forum because I feel that you guys will have experience in this situation. A company booked for my air travel as well as car rental for an on-site interview. However, I am 20 years old but almost 21. I gave my birthday to my HR rep and she did all the magic in setting up the travel arrangements. However, I thought there is an age restriction on renting a car. Since the company is renting it and i’m picking it up, will there be any issue since im under typical rental age? I’m assuming they have a corporate contract because there is a corporate discount as well as an extra fee (which im assuming is for my age).

They won’t care. All the rental company’s rates are based on their own insurance rates. They have low risk associated with renting to the company you are interviewing with so try don’t care about your age.

I would get it checked beforehand. Call the company at hand and inquire about your situation. I wouldn’t want to be left without a ride to an interview.

Also, not parent forum.

I absolutely guarantee it won’t be an issue. I did it multiple times before I was 25, even with the stricter rental companies like Hertz. Of course you can check and it won’t hurt, but you really shouldn’t need to worry about this. Worry about the interview instead.
