On the right path?

i’m currently a sophomore at st george’s school in newport (private boarding school in the independant school league) and am really interested in applying to vanderbilt when im a senior. Could you guys tell me if im on the right track for possible acceptance?

*I applied for a program my school offers called Geronimo where you live in a 70’ boat for 6 weeks with 6 other students and 3 first mates, take all your courses and study marine biology - sailing from newport to the bahamas. Hopefully will be accepted and participate next fall
*Also applied for prefect position in freshman dorm, which is a leadership position - very hard to get as there are only 8 spots for about 60 applicants, but again hopefully I will get it

probable Senior Year classes:
Either AP English or two 1 semester english electives
AP Government
Pre Calc
Either AP Bio or AP French
1 semester of art course (either architecture or basic art), 1 semester religion - these are requirements I have to meet for graduation

If you guys could give me any feedback that would be great!

Looks pretty good. I like to sail also and have heard great things about Vanderbilt’s sailing club. Get better grades though, but also have a good time in prep school. In fact, what you really want to do is master the art of working hard and playing hard.

Yeah, I mean this semester was hard cause it was my first one at a new school and the workload was so much more rigerous and it took some getting used to. Last semester I kinda screwed myself over cause I started off with alot of Cs and it was hard to bring them up but right now I have either As or solid Bs.

Extracurriculars look great, but you really need to focus on grades and (in time) your SAT/ACT scores.
