On the spot admissions

<p>Ok today they announced on the PA system that syracuse is coming to my school to visit 3rd period and that on i think december 2nd, syracuse will visit my school and do on the spot type admissions. I asked the admissions officer who visited my school if we get to find out on the spot if we get in or not and he said not exactly that it will be an interview kind of and i will look at alll your info like applicaiton,transcript, and SAT scores. and will then talk to my guidence counsler of if the student will get in. He said that the requirements are at least a 1100 M/V SAT and 85% grade point average. </p>

<p>Does anyone have anything like this in thier school, btw im located in brooklyn, NY if that matters.</p>

<p>no, but i’ve heard of these kind of things. notre dame sent me a letter about on-the-spot admissions evaluations, where they pretty much give you a definitive answer right there.</p>

<p>i find it interesting to say the least…i think it is a pretty cool opportunity, and if you’ve got all your **** together and have a good people personality, go for it. i’m not sure if it really helps or hinders you at all in the process, though, even if you do come off better in person.</p>
