One bad SAT II score

This year I took 5 SAT subject tests, getting an 800 on four of them (bio, chem, math 2, physics), but I also got a 680 on World History. How would this affect my college application, since it shows that I’m weaker in non-STEM courses? (I’m currently a sophomore in highschool)

It won’t; since you took more subject tests than required, they will look at the best 2.

Oh, and don’t call a 680 “bad” - it’s just off-putting.

Oh, I thought that top schools see all of your scores. I’m not really sure on how colleges see your academic information.

Most schools allow score choice on subject tests. Even for those schools that require all scores (e.g. Yale, Cornell), they say that they will only look at the best 2.

Alright, thanks for the clarification.

Don’t take any more tests. You have four great scores and one not so good score doesn’t matter as much. If you plan on majoring in a stem field, it matters even less because they usually look at your relevant scores to your interests

Nope, you’re good. Getting 4 800s will definitely distract them from a 680
