anyone else?

Dear WPOLO8 : Your numbers and background are right in the sweet spot for both BC and Georgetown. Visit both and make your decision based on the difference in environment and programs. Notre Dame will be academically second to either BC or Georgetown.

As for UPenn, Wharton was extremely competitive last year (moreso than UPenn itself which hit all time low acceptance rates) and the acceptances at the Ivy’s are to some extent a random draw.

Although not one of your schools, let me share a story that was told to me by a Yale Interviewer and Alumnus last year. Getting from 20,000 applications down to 4,000 is a very simple process based on scores, scholastic achievement, extra curriculars, and essays. Getting from 4,000 down to 1,800 is somewhat random since so many of the applications start looking similar once you get to the top ranked applications.

I think starting your own business makes you a great candidate. I would say that you would get accepted at BC and I know it is extremely difficult right now to get into Wharton, but it is worth a try for someone like you. As far as I know, Georgetown, although a great school, doesn’t have as good of business school as BC or UPenn.
