<p>Common App opened today 
So probably finish that up nice and early.</p>
<p>I’m working at a retirement home right now, in the cafeteria (Gives me plenty of material for my admission essays now). My fall semester begins on the 17th (My 3rd year at CC v____v’'), so tired of community college… I want to move on to bigger and better. </p>
<p>I was browsing Craigslist for off campus apartments in Davis and found plenty of nice looking, affordable apartments within a 5 mile radius of campus. Can’t wait to be living alone, I’ll finally be able to walk around my pad sans pants and will be able to study without distractions.</p>
<p>Repeating “2 semesters left, that’s all,” makes me feel better. </p>
<p>It’s kind of unreal that community college is almost at an end.</p>
<p>@LAladyy: I just checked and the page still displayed the app for this fall, not for next fall. Are you sure?</p>

<p>Common App is what the private universities use. Anyone applying to USC, Pepperdine, LMU, Stanford, Ivies etc. have to apply through the common app. Yes I’m positive it opened today! Just register for a new account and you should be in for Spring/Fall applications.</p>

Public institutions also use the Common App but yes it did open on August 1.</p>
<p>Yes, yes you’re right. I was speaking in general terms because the vast majority are privates. My mistake.</p>

<p>September 1: turn tag application in.</p>
<p>September - November: Work really hard on all my CC classes. 5 classes 16 units.</p>
<p>Mid- November: Write my essay. Turn UC apps in.</p>
<p>December: Take all fall finals and update UC apps.</p>
<p>Jan - March: Gather stuff for common Apps and send appplication.</p>
<p>April: wait for UC and Private school decisions.</p>
<p>May: Take all my finals for spring.</p>
<p>June: SIR to ??, and booking my ticket back to the motherland (Africa) to see my grandma that I haven’t seen for over a decade.</p>
<p>July - August: Traveling around the world, visiting KSA, UK, UAE.</p>
<p>September: Start at ??? (Hopefully a UC!! )</p>
