One more question..very important

ok heres my story…i didnt do well on my first SAT…took it again but i was really sick(food poisoning),so i took it a third time(was fine) and i didnt do allll that bad…my question is…should i take it 1 more time?..i think i can increase by 100 points on the math,50 on the critical and i can ace the writing…will colleges hate me??..

oh and about the second exam…i contemplated canceling but i decided against that because i had a good feeling about the writing…

It depends on what your “all that bad” score is. 150 points would be a significant increase, but depending on what schools you’re applying to and what your score is currently, it may not be worth the fourth test.

Others will probably disagree with me, but four times is, you know, quite a few times…

I would guess that a significant increase in your score would do more to help than taking it 4 times would hurt.

No, they won’t hate you. They probably won’t care in the slightest, and they’ll only consider your highest scores. And if your final score reflects a significant increase, then it’s certainly not going to look bad that you took the test one more time – if they care enough to put a narrative behind it, the narrative will be, “Hey, the kid worked really hard to boost those test scores.” And hard work and preparation are good things.
