One of the worst articles I ever read

Life truly only sucks for those who try their hardest and fail.

Stars worry about growing old and their tenth divorce, wealthy bankers fear corruption investigations for money embezzlement, ordinary people need to pay the mortgage on time and have a job they don’t like in order to do that… Life can’t be perfect, it has its ups and downs and will always be that way. You can’t accomplish anything if you are afraid of challenges. They may be nasty colleagues “like robots, programmed to make life extra miserable for you” or your dream job, which went to someone else and you have to try harder the next time. I believe that challenges make you stronger and at some point some of them will even begin to seem negligible, because you’ve learned how to deal with them before. The point is that you should focus on what makes you happy and the good times in your life, that are to come, and don’t let the bad ones take hold of you. You should always do your best, so that you don’t regret that you didn’t.
We evaluate the article from the perspective of young, filled with hopes and dreams, inexperienced teenagers, some of whom rely entirely on themselves, and it does sound scary and discouraging at first. But five, ten years from now we are going to think differently. To be honest I know miserable people, who are unhappy with their job and life, but the majority of those people are not people who didn’t have opportunities to be happy, but people who didn’t see them and didn’t take advantage of them.

Life only sucks for those who willingly place themselves on a path of prestige only to find out that the path isn’t the foundation on which they want to basee their lives.

How’s that for a quote? 1-10?

i think it’s hilarious

Ouch, this guy doesn’t get that people are pumping graduates up for a good reason. They just achieved a milestone and are hopefully about to attempt another one, whatever and wherever it is. Why not boost their morale and give them confidence? Give them their moment and don’t bum them out.

So I just got back in my chair after ROFLing. Hard.

So do we all agree in assuming this guy is beyond pessimistic? I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he’s that guy who thinks a 2 liter bottle only contains 1mL of fluid and that the fluid is a cesspool.

Life sucks for everyone at one point in another. It’s the moments that make you feel good that make life worth living. No matter who you are, everyone has laughed at some point, everyone has felt accomplishment in something. Just because something is hard now doesn’t you should give up. Tomorrow is another day.

He just needs some quotes:

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” - Winston Churchill

“If you want to be happy, be.” - Leo Tolstoy
