My parents brought up the hypothesis that since Harvard has a historically very high yield, if they happen to have an extra-high yield this year, their standards for “significant drop in academic performance” may be flexible, and thus it will take less to rescind an admission than in most cases. Are these worries unfounded? I’m worried that due to many auditions (thus missed school days) my semester averages may include one or two B’s.

No college will rescind you for getting a few B’s. Don’t worry and enjoy the rest of your senior year

I, probably like many other students, was accepted with Bs on my transcript! I wouldn’t worry. You could probably get Cs and be fine.
