So, I was rejected by my #1 school which was John Jay. I’m currently enrolled in BMCC and my family told me to just transfer within a semester if I can maintain a 3.0 GPA and get a few recommendations but I heard that they check high school performance as well… and my high school grades are just high enough to graduate. What are my chances of being able to transfer?
Until you have an extended college track record which demonstrates your ability to succeed at the college level, it will be very difficult since they will surely keep track of your HS record until you have about 3 semesters of college work under your belt. The fact that they did not feel you HS record was sufficiently strong to be admitted means that you need to probably spend 2 years before transferring.
