One-time things?

I know that ECs are really improtant in applications, but do one-time things also count?
For example, I play the violin and that’s kind of my ‘thing’.
So I’ve had the opportunities to play with the National Symphony Orchestra, at the White House, and at a European Emabassy.
I think these are pretty big deals because they aren’t open for just anybody.
I want to show this to colleges, but I don’t know what they go under;
ECs? but it was only a one-time thing. But I don’t want to just put down I’m involved in a youth orchestra, because, well,… I want schools to know I have these cool experiences.
So my question in a nutshell is,

  1. How can I show that I’m not just another ‘violinist’, but one that has had special experiences that not many people have.
  2. Do you think schools will care about these one-time events I’ve attened?
    Thanks -

Put it in your essay - how music has given you opportunities…
