Is it possible to take online courses from a different college, that you currently attend now? I know it sounds like a ridiculous question.

Certainly you can do it. However,

1) if you are planning to transfer those credits to your current college, you should make certain that they will be transferable before you register for the class

and

2) you shouldn’t take the class if it will negatively affect your other coursework.

Son took 4 online classes last summer (between freshman and soph years). His busy engineering schedule of required courses did not leave room for 2 English and 2 history that he needed.

He took 2 per session. One set from Erie Community College and the other from SUNY Farmingdale. He worked at his own quick pace and was done in advance. He made sure, using Taurus and speaking with his advisor, that the credits from these schools and classes would be accepted at his school.

So, for example, i am currently in Dutchess Community College, could i enroll in an online course at another college NYU?

Possibly, but you need to ask at DCC. They are the only people who can tell you if it will apply to your program or not.

Good luck!
