So I am currently taking algebra 2 on my school campus, but it’s been very rough and I was thinking about switching into an online course. It’s an online approved program approved through my school, Apex is the name. Anyways, I was wondering if I take algebra two online, will it fulfill the requirements that are needed for CSU/UC admissions? How will the colleges know that I took it online? Does it look bad on my college application? Is it “A-G” approved or whatever that means? I am also taking another year of math senior year ‘Statistics’ (I’m currently a junior).
California maintains a database of approved courses.
https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist/institution/4242 says that Apex’s online Algebra 2 course is approved.
You can check if the on- line course is UC approved here. If so, then it can be used to fulfill your a-g course requirements.

Will the grade be posted on your HS transcript ? If not, then you would need a separate transcript when it came time to apply to the CSU’s and UC’s.
Can you drop your current class this late into the school year?
My counselor said I could.
