Online Course Transfer

So I decided to try to get ahead this summer, and took a 3 week linear algebra course online while working full time. Apparently this was a mistake, because for reasons I ended up with an A-. (really who puts the “A” cutoff at 96) To be honest it is kind of ish my fault because to save time I didn’t work as hard as I could have, not realizing I would be just shy of an A. Without this class, I have a 4.0. This course was online through the open suny system, but it was not at the SUNY where I regularly attend school. I am kind of upset, because before this I had perfect grades, and the reason why this is different is dumb, but is not something I can explain to a school. I don’t actually need this course for any requirements, and was more taking it for fun. My question is, do I have to transfer it, and will it mess up my GPA if I do? Is it likely possible for me to take it again online to fix it? I want to go to a really good grad school/ study abroad, and I don’t want this to hurt my chances.

You really messed up. There’s nothing you can do. It was dumb to take an online course. And yes, you do, unfortunately, have to report it.

One A- is not going to change your chances at any grad school. Please stop worrying about this.
