online deadline ea

If we're submitting our applications online, we can wait until 11:59 pm on November 1 to submit them, right?
Also, if we're sending any supplemental materials, should we send them by November 1, too? Or is it okay if we send them after?

From Uchicago e-mails:

Each year, students ask us what is the latest time they can submit their (early) applications online. Is it midnight on November 1st, Central Standard Time?

So here's the deal: you have until midnight on November 1st--anywhere in the world.

Come back and check here to see if it's still November 1st, 2004 somewhere around the globe.

If you're submitting your application after midnight in your local time, e-mail Jerry () and tell him under which time zone you're submitting your application. He'll be awake, making sure everything runs smoothly until it's November 2nd everywhere.

P.S. One of the last times that it is November 1st, 2004 is Baker Island.

P.P.S If you're mailing in your application, just be sure it's postmarked no later than November 1st.

P.P.P.S. Relax!

I just realized that I have to send a copy of my parents tax returns by November 1st. This is definetly not going to happen. Will they take it a day late?

As the Early Action Deadline of November 1st draws near, the Uncommon Application website may experience extremely heavy traffic. This heavy volume may mean delays or limited access to the application. If you experience any difficulty and you have not yet submitted your application, please do not panic.

* Try again in a bit and don't worry if you need to submit your online application a little bit later during the early morning hours of November 2nd. We understand.
* If you have questions about the online application, please send me email at I will be up late most nights answering your questions and making sure that all is well.

I appreciate and value your interest in the College and apologize for the delays that you may experience.
