Out of curiosity, does anyone have any experience making purchases from nakedwines.com?

Best wines from their selection?

A friend just messaged me asking about them as he’s planning a house party in a few weeks and happens to have a coupon for that online wine merchant.

Haven’t purchased from that retailer, but I love Bounty Hunter. Pick up the phone and call though - the website always seems to have issues. The individual attention over the phone is fantastic. They are very good at making recommendations.

I have enjoyed the wines I’ve purchased from Wines Til Sold Out (wtso.com). You do have to know a bit about wine to know what you’re getting, and they only feature 1 wine for sale at a time, but sometimes the wines will reappear at a later date.

I just recently ordered from naked wines.com. I’ve tried two of the six bottles I received and liked them both.

Their business model is interesting. They help fund small wineries and perform the sales and marketing functions so that the winemakers can just concentrate on making the wine. The wines are exclusive to Naked Wines, and are sold at wholesale prices.

If you choose to join their Angels program, you contribute $40 per month which can be spent however you choose. There is no obligation; you can stop without penalty at any time, and receive a full refund of any money still in your account.

The website has an extensive social section where your friend could read many customer reviews of the available wines. If your friend has the $100 voucher, there’s really nothing to lose. Get the inexpensive case and give it a try. Naked Wines will give you your money back if you don’t like the wine.
