Only 2 B's in Honors Classes?

I’m currently in 9th grade and plan on applying to St. Paul’s, Kent, Brooks, NMH, and St. George’s. I got an 83% on the SSAT and should get great reccomendations from my teachers. However I don’t have all A’s, I will have a B in Honors Math and Honors Biology but I still have a 4.3 GPA. Should I be worried about those 2 B’s?

Straight A’s is not a requirement for any school, even the most rigorous. You’ll be fine. You can’t do anything about the past anyway, so why worry about it?

Thanks for the response, I hoped that was the case, but I couldn’t ask anyone about it because I live in an area of the US where going to boarding school is unheard of.

^^ I agree. Choate, one of the top BS, reports that the average GPA for enrolled (or admitted?) freshmen is 3.74 or something, which is an A-. 4.3 is perfectly fine.

colleges like it better if you take harder courses and get a b than getting straight a’s taking easy classes :)

^ this is, in most cases, false, especially at schools where gpa isn’t weighted.

Don’t worry about whether your own school weights GPA. The AOs do their own weighting, and they do notice honors courses. They will look favorably that you stretched yourself academically.

Are u a very good hockey player?

GMTPlus7 Yes I’ve played AAA hockey for 4 years and have been in contact with the coaches at all of the schools
