Only 40 admitted from waitlist to Penn Class of 2014

How does this compare to past years? Hasn’t Penn been criticised for its extensive use of the WL in the past?

I was one of them :)

Does anyone know about the extended waitlist?

As the article indicates, the all-time high was 180 accepted from the waitlist for the Class of 2012, and only 100 were accepted from the waitlist for the Class of 2013. Compared to Penn’s peers, that’s not exactly extensive use. Although that probably hasn’t prevented the criticism. :)
