Only Bachelor of Arts offered by Weinberg

Sorry if this question has been raised previously.

What is the philosophy behind WCAS offering only BA degrees, and not BS degrees? You can’t get a BS in, for example, physics or chemistry?

Yes, that’s their philosophy, for no other reason than that’s what it is. It’s not the only university that does that, where you get a BA in biology or physics or chemistry rather than a BS. I wouldn’t sweat it, though.

BS, MS, PhD.

Another thing to point out - I’ve never understood why Medill only offers a BS in journalism, when in reality, you can get through the four years without taking ANY science classes, either through AP credit or careful distro selection.

It’s also ironic because many journalism majors - myself most definitely included - go into journalism partly because their math/science skills are, to put it lightly, embarassingly bad.
