…can stop Brady, the Patriots’ great white whale.
We have been saying the same thing here at our house. Kudos to NE for their four wins…apparently unstoppable except when playing Eli and the Gints.
(Kidding, mostly. :))
It’s not actually another quarterback who “stops” Brady, is it? Rather, isn’t it the defense who does that?
Why Russell Wilson didn’t hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch three consecutive times if need be will be the greatest mystery of all time.
Okay. Beat. Stopped him from winning with late game heroics of the comeback sort (similar to what Brady did last night.)
Loved the look on Russell Wilson’s face after he took off his helmet … sort of like, “Well, what did you expect with a stupid play call like that?” I am not a Patriot fan, so the end of the game disappointed me.
My H says that Tom Brady won even if they hadn’t won the game … since he gets to go home to Giselle.
Well both QBs – Eli and Tom – have stunningly gorgeous wives, from my recent search.
^^^Lol, don’t most of them?
Yea, H says it’s because athletes and supermodels both understand and can tolerate heavy media presence and deal with large sums of money that comes their way. A “normal” person would not be able to handle such pressures. That’s his view and he sticks to it!
They couldn’t hand the ball off 3 straight times because they only had 26 seconds and 3 plays to prepare for. They needed to pass on one down and NE showed 8 big guys and only 3 defensive backs. That meant if the pass was incomplete, they could run on 3rd down, call timeout and then have another shot at 4th.
I think Tom’s wife sort of takes the cake, her being perhaps the top paid model in the world. It’s weird watching her in some romantic commercial because there’s no illusion. And per the NYT profile of Tom, she seems to run the house because none of his stuff is on display in their house here.
I don’t think Eli’s wife is/was a supermodel. They were college sweethearts, so well before he was rich and famous.
^^^^But she is as pretty as a supermodel!

Yes, she is gorgeous and seems to have handled fame well.
Just read they just had their third daughter last week–wow did they keep that quiet. Guess he won’t be following in his father’s footsteps and raising a couple NFL quarterbacks (unless things really change!)
Have you all seen the ESPN documentary “The Book of Manning”? Very well done. We used to live in New Orleans where I’m sure Archie, Eli, Peyton and Cooper’s daddy, is probably the most admired and respected person in town. I’d love to know more about their mom who I’m sure is an amazing person.
ESPN today said that Tom Brady made $153 million over his career and his wife is the breadwinner in the house. Nice life.
Giselle makes something like 47 million a year as a top supermodel, so she definitely makes more than Brady does, who makes around 20 million. Say what you want about Brady, but given what he has produced with the Pats, he is underpaid, take a look at what some other quarterbacks, like Rony Romo or Cutler, who haven’t won anything make, he is a bargain comparatively.
Gee, wonder what anyone does with so many millions. I can’t even imagine!
It was Malcom Butler’s heroics which won that game, not Brady’s. Brady wasn’t even on the field at the time.
yeah, but somehow, (and believe me I’m not a Brady fan), they scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to take the lead after a late 10 point deficit. I gotta give him some credit for that.
