Only one recommendation?

I know most colleges require at least one recommendation. I only have one recommendation atm, my second one wont make it in time I think. (My teacher is lazy).
Will only one recommendation hurt me?

*Applying to Umich and UVA

How late will it be? They will probably give a little leeway.

UVA’s deadline is 11/11. However, I think UMICH is 11/1

For the schools that REQUIRE two, only having one will hurt. Otherwise, it’s not a problem.

If two recs are required, your application won’t be complete until the second one arrives. Until your app is complete, it probably won’t be considered. If the rec arrives within a week or so of the deadline, it will probably still be considered in the early round. Often a school will get in touch with the counselor to follow up if just one item is missing in an early round.

Dunno about UVA but UM only needs one.

And you’re mistaken: 80% of colleges require ZERO recommendations

Ugh. I feel like two would be better than one though. I asked my teacher already like 10 tines, he’s lazy tjough
