After practicing a lot over the past couple of months,I have managed to increase my SAT score to a commendable level; however, I want to make it big time: I want to get the perfect score.
But , whenever I gave the SAT practice test, I found that I could not perform simultaneously well in all the three sections. The score in either of my two strong sections (Math and Writing ) would suffer and my Critical treading would stagnate around 680-750.
Seeing that there are only three days to my SAT, I don’t think that practicing like mad would help.
So what should I do?
Some CR sections would be fine? ( around 10)
I have done vocab and am researching essay examples.

What I usually do is work on my weakest portions, or something I’m not comfortable with. I don’t study as much as I did during my prep, but i don’t stop all together either.
(But that’s just me, you may have a different approach. And also, my diet increases considerably and I sleep or meditate more.)

I’ve got the same problem Khaleesi When I get really high score on CR (800/close to 800) then I get Maths around late 600s ( with lots of careless mistakes), and when I mange to get low-mid 700s in math, my CR also comes down to low-mid 700s . I just plan to maybe do one more practice test and then just revise math and maybe take a look at the more indirect math problems to get more attuned to the type of thinking required for SAT. Hopefully Saturday would be the lucky day and everything would come together :)

That’s what! My maths scores don’t fluctuate much, but my writing scores do. And it’s all because of those silly mistakes. It makes me bang my head on the wall.

P.S. I’m a huge huge fan “A Song Of Ice and Fire” series too. : :-j

Also, both of you have a very good taste. Where are you from?

Hehe…I’m betting half my essay samples are gonna end up being from “A Song Of Ice and Fire”
I’m from India. What about you?

even I am from India.
I, too, think my examples are gonna be from Song Of Ice and Fire.

I am from India too! Now thats pretty cool. xD

Yup…! xD So in which center you guys taking it…?

Well if you do excellent in 2 sections and screw up the 3rd you’ll still end up with a good score. Depends on what you’re aiming for. Doing good in 2 sections will be enough for a 2100-2200 but surely not 2300. Doing good in only 1 might be enough for 2000-2100. The perfect is near impossible, no offense. But it’s great that you’re trying! Lol, personally I just want to break 2200 and if I do, I’ll be ecstatic. Since there’s only 1 day left I’d do vocab and essays since the essay is the 1st part of the test and there’s that psychological thing that goes with. And @jonsnow316 and @ThisIsIrritating I’m Indian too! Winter is coming Also could any of you score my essay please? <a href=“Score my SAT essay please? - SAT Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>Score my SAT essay please? - SAT Preparation - College Confidential Forums;

Yup, I’d be happy with a 2200 too, and would be disappointed if I get below 2100. Hoping for about 1500 for CR +MATH. I’m no expert but I think your essay would be about 10-11 . I think the transition to the third paragraph needs to be better.

You know nothing @jonsnow316 Lol I just had to that Thanks for grading it. I still can’t believe I got a 6/12! 1500? Yeah that’s great for CR+M. In fact UIUC actually only considers the CR+M and I think that because on their average SAT scores list they show it out of 1600. As far as I know Writing is the toughest to break 700 in because even if you get only 4 wrong and a good 9 on the essay you’ll still only get 680-710.

@AGDC18 hehe

All the best guys…!

How’d it go guys? Personally found math a bit difficult ( got math experimental) . Writing seemed easy and CR average.Hoping can still get around 2150

I had Writing experimental. CR was difficult. That’s not just my opinion but almost everyone in the test center and CC said it was hard. Math was easy. Writing was easy. Essay topic was kinda weird and I think I did okay though. At least 8-10.

it was medium overall … got math experimental to … what did u do on writing …how many NE … was there idiom or diction

Yup there was one diction, I don’t quite remember number of NE, but I am guessing it was about 3-4 . Almost everything seemed straight forward in writing. I thought essay topic was also pretty nice. First time I was able to come up with examples as soon as I saw the prompt, and first time I was able to finish with a bit of time to spare :D
