Only took the SAT once

I only took the SAT once and got a 2280 (780 CR, 760 M, 730 W). Does the fact that I did not try to improve my scores hurt my chances at a school such as Yale?

No, that is a fine score that would put you in range for Yale, try to concentrate on things that are not so stellar in your application.

any other opinions?

I see no point in retaking an excellent score. Devote your time to other pursuits.

Ok thanks guys!

I agree with the above posters. Your SAT score, which is near 2300, is already up to par with competitive Ivy League applicants.
