Only two males in club

I decided to join the yearbook club at my university to make friends. We got an email today telling us when our first meeting is. In the list of names, I noticed that there is only one other male. The rest are females (and you can tell because they have names that girls have like Emily). I know there are unisex names, but none of these names are.

So my question… Is yearbook always a club taken more likely by females?

I decided to join to a) make friends and b) it will look good with my major. I’m just surprised lol. I know this is a pointless question, but I was just wondering about it. Thank you.

I mean I guess it can be considered a club taken more by females, but I think that it is good to have boys join the group too. Usually girls like to be in it so they can make sure they make into the year book and stuff, but I feel that is a terrible stereotype. I am sure there are people actually interested in photography and putting forth a memorable yearbook in that group. I think you will make a lot of friends because you will have to collaborate with everyone! Also just because they aren’t on the email list more guys might join too, but maybe they missed the sign up or something.

i think it’s actually good, what’re you worried of lol

My whole life I was always better at making friends with girls but I wanted some male friends. Lol. Most guys have at least one male friend. I don’t have any friends on campus though so it doesn’t matter.

Don’t worry about it at all. In my book club at college, my boyfriend and 1 other person were the only guys in the club. No one found it weird and it was still a good way to meet people.

I gotta say, if you are straight, you win, if you are gay, you win. Win win. Enjoy your club!
