<p>I think it can be okay if not overused and too “cutesy.”</p>
<p>The instructor at the workshop I attended that using it can be effective. It definetely gets the attention. But yeah don’t overuse it.</p>
<p>If a little onomatopoeia goes well with your overall theme, then POW! you’ve improved your essay.</p>
