EC’s?..awards?

your gpa, test scores, and class rank look good for the schools you plan to apply to. However, EC’s are a vital part of admission.

What ECs do UC schools particularly show favor towards?

None in particular.

^ Was this in response to the original post or the reply above you? :p

Either way, I’ve had a few awards earned by various activities around county. For example, I took the first place title at a competition for math for high school students here in Buena Park. I also earned recognition for putting community service hours through my own methods, rather than following the herd and going to the nearest library.

I’ve had a lot of summer jobs, no matter how trivial they may seem to people. Since my family didn’t come for a whole lot of money, any job as a high school student seemed significant. I worked selling candy, selling baby clothes at the Inglewood Swapmeet (don’t laugh, ;p), conducting business over the Internet, marketing certain products for small businesses, and working on ad campaigns over the internet.

I’m not very EC - heavy, so I want to work on that a little more. I’ve been needing to help out my family in various ways, so I haven’t had too much time to do anything. Plus, I have no rides. :(

Bump! I’d really appreciate any comments.
