OOS Chances at UNC

<p>It’s fairly difficult to figure out chances OOS for UNC.</p>

<p>-OOS (CT), Early Action, White
-High school: Public (one of the best in CT) with 340 in my grade
-GPA (UW): 3.94
-SAT: 2300 (one sitting) w/ M:770 W:800 R:730
-APs: Have 7 APs (which is a lot for my school): BC Calc/ Physics C/ Microecon/ Macroecon/ Statistics(5)/ Euro History/ US History(5) (all other classes = honors)
-Essays: Very Strong
-ECs: Many, and quite a few strong ones. Briefly: Sports Editor of Newspaper, VP of NHS, Secretary of Math Honors Society, lots of community service including a mentoring program for children and 6 week long missions trips to various countries, Ran 8 seasons of track/indoor track/cross country with varsity letters each time (as well as breaking a few school records and finishing as team MVP once), a couple others as well.
-Work: Self employed lawn mowing business (8 hours a week in spring/summer/early fall)</p>

<p>I know I have fairly strong stats, but I can’t really figure out what UNC wants.</p>

<p>You are a strong candidate; if your essays and recs are strong you have a very good chance of admission, but with UNC, nothing is ever certain with OOS admissions.</p>
