<p>This article is from 2011, but covers an idea I don’t think I had run into here on CC yet…discounting OOS tuition for students from the same region.</p>
<p>Yes, there are some exchanges, and if you are in a state that is in one, that is an option. I don’t think the info is as widely known as it should be, or maybe it’s just because I’m in a state that isn’t in any.</p>
<p>I want to add, that some school on the border of another state will give some discounts to those in the other state in the adjacent county. This is for some college tuition and other programs too. I’ve seen some of that around here.</p>
