campuses are realistic to apply to. Do not need financial aid. Thinking UCLA, UC Berkeley, and UCSB. Not really interested in any others. Like most other applicants ECs and Essays are solid, and a multiple Varisty letter holder in track and CC, including 2nd team All-State in the high jump as a sophomore.

apply to all 3, you’ve got a decent shot imo.

Wow, you’re asking a bit early :P. Anyway, OOS your SAT might be a bit below average. Try calculating your UC GPA, which is UW GPA and weight 8 of your AP/IB classes (I think, it’s been a while) and I think 4.1 is what you’re aiming for.

will have 6 or 7 APs including senior year, and rest honors courses. A’s in almost all of them. School weighted GPA is about 4.2. Father is a UC graduate, but he says that counts for nothing as there is no place to include it on the application, and he also says the UC campuses do not track a decades long history of contributing to the school (which he has done).

I think honors classes get weighted as well, so pick your top 8 AP/honors classes and weight those. Your father is right in that UC legacies count are non-existant.

Also, I agree with MechRocket, you have no reason not to apply. You don’t have to worry about being competitive.
