open enrollment

Does everyone have the same beginning time for open enrollment, or are seniors allowed to register for classes before juniors, then sophomores, then freshman? How exactly does it work?

Seniors (or people who have the most credits) will register first, then juniors, then sophomores, then freshman.

You can see what your registration date is by logging onto my.pitt.edu and then clicking the Student Center Login button (right side). Go to Self Service->Enrollment->Enrollment Dates and choose Spring Term 2012-2013. The “Academic Term” Appointment Begins Date & Time is the earliest at which you can officially register for classes. Any time at or after this point you can add and/or drop classes to your schedule up until the add/drop date in the spring semester.

Thanks for the info - makes sense.
