How much does going to an open house help with admissions?

If you mean going to learn and ask questions that it tips you into applying: obviously yes. You can’t get in w/o applying.

If you mean will it aid your chances of being admitted by showing “interest” then most likely NO.

Do a search on “demonstrated interest”. The ultra-selectives (HYPMS) don’t track this so it’s inconsequential. The lesser known ones want to work their marketing plans – it might mean something.

Just because you go to an open house does not increase your chances. I mean, if you somehow become best friends with the admission officers then yes, it would help. But the whole point of the open houses is to ask questions, not getting your chances increased.
