Open Question

I know this question isn’t very specific, but I’m curious.

What types of colleges give you the best education? Which types prepare you best for the working world, regardless of your career? Is it Ivies, flagship state universities, local state universities, religious LACs, other LACs, or highly ranked private universities?

This is a matter of opinion, but it would be interesting to know what the general CC consensus is.

The single largest factor is “what you make of it.” There are plenty of people who may go to an Ivy League school and take the easiest classes possible and go nowhere in life, and there are plenty of people from state schools who take the most challenging classes, forge relationships with faculty, and go far in life…

This applies for just about every dimension… religious schools will do good for some, while others may become stronger in their faith through being challenged in a secular environment

I feel the need to recover this thread.
