Opening Day!

It snowed!
although we were in the schmancy seats so I was hardly cold.:frowning: H even had his long underwear on.
The people in left field bleachers where we usually sit were having a good time, they were even making snowballs.
It was fun even if I hardly knew half the players.
We won 5-2

Anyone else attend Opening day?

First home game for the Red Sox is a week away (4/8). Given the weather here lately–it will probably be cold and nasty. I’m excited that a new season is starting.

I got to go last year but not this year. Weather was much better then. But I’m just glad baseball’s back!

I was at the NATS Home opener on Sun PM…new stadium, great win (HR by star in bottom of 9th)…was CHILLY…but not as cold as night before when they beat the Os in last exhibition game. Only downside…3 inning wait for BENS CHILI BOWL halfsmoke

The Nats beat Atlanta, then Philly! They are my new favorite team ('cept when they play the Mets, of course:).) Seriously, Zimmerman’s HR was just gorgeous, a wonderful way to break in the new stadium!

Attended the Dodgers’ opener yesterday. I think it was about 80 degrees, beat the dreaded Giants 5-0 (on the 50th anniversary of Dodgers coming to Los Angeles - 5-0, 50th anniversary…hmmmmm the baseball gods musta been smiling).

Best still, the pre-game activities had dozens of “old timers” like Sandy Koufax, Maury Wills etc.

Got to play hookey from work. What a great day.

A great day unless you are a Giants fan :(

ooops, sorry Bec, but at least you don’t have bonds any more to distract things, although the giant lineup does look pretty “suspect”
