Anyone have a sense of how competitive it is to be accepted to the Operation Catapult summer session at Rose Hulman? My kid is very interested, but curious if we should have some back up options as well.
Always have a back up plan. All I know many that have done the program really enjoyed it. You or your child can call the school to get more information. It will also give you an idea of the college and if it’s the right fit for your child.
My son ended up doing one on Berkeley campus, Michigan State for Robotics and Milwaukee School of Engineering in software. Each were really great experiences and confidence boosters plus they were all fun.

I will say - and you don’t know how competitive - you might ask and maybe they’ll tell you as @Knowsstuff said. My son did the Purdue program and was rejected. He got a higher ACT score, which we sent in and they approved.
I’m sure it’s supply / demand like anything else.

But some do. They will have a GPA minimum like Milwaukee School or Engineering does.
