<p>William Kenan died in the 1960s. Is it possible you mean Harvey C. Mansfield, who is the William R. Kenan, Jr., Professor of Government? (Meaning, he holds an endowed professorship underwritten by the William R. Kenan, Jr., Charitable Trust?)</p>
<p>Mansfield has been there forever. All I know about him is that back in the day, the students called him “Harvey C-minus Mansfield.”</p>
<p>And why on earth are you asking? It sounds as if you’re checking references on these professors before you interview them.</p>

<p>I can’t meet with them all, which is why I’m asking for current and former student opinions on these professors- to help me decide which ones are the best to meet with.</p>
